The Eight members of the dreaded pro-NPP vigilante group, Delta Force, who raided a circuit court in Kumasi to free 13 of their members have been refused bail and remanded to reappear before the court on April 18.

The eight who were arraigned before court Monday were protected by the elite unit of the Ghana Police Service, according to Ultimate FM’s Isaac Bediako Justice.

They were represented in court by a legal team of five who argued that the eight men were not members of the vigilante group, hence, the need to release them.

But the Circuit Court presided over by Patricia Bonsu stated that circumstances surrounding their arrest made and the nature of the case made it impossible to release the eight men on bail.

Some members of Delta Force, a vigilante group affiliated to the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti region last week Thursday stormed a Kumasi Circuit Court to free 13 of their members who were facing charges for causing mayhem at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council.

The irate group destroyed court properties and freed the suspects in the process.

The 13 members were detained in connection with the attack on the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator.

The presiding judge had earlier ruled that the suspects be remanded to appear before court on April 20, 2017.
