I’m not pressured to retain Artiste of the Year title – E.L

Reigning Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year says he doesn’t feel pressured to retain the title this year.

E.L, born Elorm Adablah, beat Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Bisa Kdei, VVIP and SP Kofi Sarpong to win the coveted award last year.

Receiving a nomination to compete again in this year’s awards with the possibly of being the first artiste to retain the award, he says it doesn’t come with any pressure.

To make it a consecutive win, the ‘Koko’ hitmaker has to beat Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, MzVee, and Medikal.

Speaking in an interview on the Red Carpet of the awards, he says he is very positive and feels really happy to be nominated this year.

He said he is not under pressure stressing “I’m looking forward to whatever the people decide to give me.”

Apart from the Artiste of the Year nomination, the rapper has been nominated for Hiplife/Hiphop Artiste of the Year, Best Rapper of the Year, Hiphop Song of the Year and Afro-Pop Song of the Year.

Asked how it feels winning the Artiste of the Year last year, E.L said, “It’s good, I feel blessed, so many opportunities…”

He has released over 30 songs since he won the Artiste of the Year last year.
