Ghana’s Black Starlets drew 2-2 with Tanzania on Monday in an international friendly in Dar Es Salaam.

The match was part of Ghana’s preparations for the African U-17 tournament in Gabon in May.

Ghana scored twice through Sulley Ibrahim and Arko Mensah but the Tanzanians scored two late goals from Assad Juma via a penalty and Mushin Malima.

After the match, Paa Kwesi Fabin said he was pleased with the exercise but he had issues with the decisions taken by the referee on the day.

” Our boys lost a little concentration and in the end, it allowed the Tanzanians to come back into the game. Of course, the penalty decision was very questionable but we know we will not get some of these bad calls at the African Championships.

The match was a good test for us. The Tanzanians played well tactically and they were good on the ball. We were better tactically and thus, the lead but the refereeing decisions went against us.”

Ghana will return on Tuesday April 4 and their next preparatory match will be against Niger.
