GIMPA is set to organise a personal branding and job recruitment seminar on March 28, 2017 as part of the Institute’s SRC week celebration.

The seminar is to equip students with the requisite skill and knowledge about personal branding as well as how to prepare for and be recruited for a dream job.

The seminar is one of many programmes lined up for the SRC week, Myjoyonline.com has learnt.

The president of the SRC Samuel Anim Addo, in an interview with Myjoyonline.com, said there will be a cocktail of activities to educate, refresh and stimulate the minds of students most of whom are already in the world of work.

The week-long celebration will begin with an official launch on Monday March 27 which will then be followed by a students’ forum the same day. The forum is to afford the students the opportunity to interact with management on some of the thorny issues affecting the students in Institute.

Then on Tuesday will be the personal branding and job recruitment seminar which will begin at 3:00pm to 5:00pm. There will also be a career fair which shall see a recruitment session by reputable companies also on the same day.

On Wednesday will be time to exercise the body in a football competition between students and faculty members.

This will be followed by an investment seminar and a stimulating time with the mentor on Thursday.

On Friday which is dubbed the day of wits, an exhibition of intellect, absolute fun and entertainment, there will be an inter-university debate competition between GIMPA and other sister schools. The day will be crowned with an artiste night which shall be an entertaining and networking programme with exhilarating performances by Stonebuoy, Tinny, Kwaisey Pee, Jupiter and Nii Funny with the live Asa Band also on display.

The weeklong programme will be crowned with a fun trip to the Akosombo Sajuna Beach resort on Saturday April 1, 2017.
