Free PassCo App Launched

Revo Education, a software engineering firm providing digital education course materials based in Ghana, has outdoored its latest digitized educational material called, ‘Free PassCo’.

The application which can be downloaded for free on Google play store gives free access to past questions and answers from the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) from 1992 to 2015.

The launch of the Free PassCo application therefore means students preparing for the BECE and WASSCE can access the free past questions, answer online and get immediate feedback on their results once they sign-up to the application.

The application also allows students to check their progress in a particular subject and actually see how they are performing as well as provide teachers who have also signed-up the option to view their students’ progress.

Archibald Annan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Revo Education addressing the media at the press launch said the benefits of technology in education are immense adding that Revo has been at the forefront in the use of technology in education.

He used the event to express his appreciation to all who supported the firm in the development of the app indicating that by developing the PassCo app, Revo Education have demonstrated the power of technology in making education accessible and affordable to all.

“By making this resource available for free to all students in Ghana, Revo Education have not only reinforced the power of technology in education, but also reinforced its commitment to help make education affordable to students and government,” he added.

Mr. Annan further called for more support to enable the firm provide android devices to students in deprived communities to also benefit from the digitized materials.

Chairperson for the event, Professor Sitsofe Anku, who pledged his support to the development of more digital educational materials encouraged students to make good use of the app.

However, he noted that digital material should not be used for only preparing to pass exams but the knowledge gained must be applied to solving everyday problems.
