Ex-NPA boss Attafuah appointed MD of GACL

A management consultant John Dekyem Attafuah has been appointed the new Managing Director of the Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL).

Mr Attafuah is replacing Charles Asare who resigned about a week ago, a statement released by management of the Ghana Airport Company Limited said.

Mr Attafuah holds a degree in Computer Science and Statistics, from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Master of Science Degree, in Systems Development, from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.

Until his appointment, Mr Attafuah was the Managing Director of Virtual Access Limited, a market research company, and has over 30 years’ experience in the Energy, Services, Information Technology (IT) and Pharmaceutical industries.

With a practical and result-oriented management style, Mr. Attafuah has built a formidable track record of solid achievements in both the public and private sectors.

Mr. Attafuah, served as the Chief Executive Officer, of the National Petroleum Authority, from 2005 to 2009.
