Mr. Pius Enam Hadzide has expressed his appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for appointing him as Deputy Minister-designate for Youth and Sports.

President Nana Akufo-Addo on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, named some 50 persons to serve as deputy ministers of state and four others to serve as ministers of state at the presidency.

Following his appointment as a deputy minister-designate for Youth and Sports, Mr. Pius Hadzide took to his Facebook page to thank the President for giving him the mandate to serve his country Ghana.

He indicated that the opportunity would help him learn from the president who has over the years being a great mentor.

“It has been insightful and delightful serving our party and studying at his feet for several years and particularly as Campaign Aide during the last elections; an important learning experience. I am glad that once again I have been offered the opportunity to serve my country, and my President,” he stated.

Despite the fact that the challenges that confront Ghana are enormous especially in the sports ministry, Mr Hadzide said he would work assiduously with his “boss and mentor”, Mr. Isaac Asiamah to achieve the vision and mission of the ministry.

“I shall endeavour to assist, with all my heart, my boss, friend and mentor, Hon Isaac Asiamah, the sector minister who by all standards is a fine gentleman with a clear vision. His wealth of knowledge is an asset I intend to tap into,” the statement read.
