Agya Koo1 Campaigns For NPPAgya Koo

After actor, Kwadwo Nkansah (Lilwin) had debunked assertions that his absence from the play put together some ‘Kumawood’ actors for the Ghana @ 60 celebration was the making of Agya Koo, the latter’s account was just the opposite as he indicated that he intentionally excluded the former from the cast because he (Lilwin) disrespected and snubbed him over several calls to take part in various projects.

Well, it appears the controversy surrounding the play is not ending soon as former Public Relations Officer of Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), Michael Kwaku Ola seeks answers to how the whole project was organised.

Read his Facebook post below:

“Who is lying to us?

On entertainment show of Peacefm last Saturday, a certain man who is part of the Ghana @60 planning committee, responded to our discussion by calling in to rectify what he saw as erroneous impressions. His name is MR. Owusu. His attempt to glorify mediocrity rather spewed confusion and mistrust.

Mr. Owusu said they contacted Martha Arthur, secretary for Kumawood to put the play together.

Point of correction sir, there is no association called Kumawood. There is a company called Kumawood multimedia and the secretary is not called Martha Joyce Arthur.

Your lacklustre knowledge in the affairs of the film industry is not pardonable and can only explain why people have expressed dissatisfaction and disconcerting views on the shabby play.

He admitted they had no time to arrange for rehearsed work before the 6th March performance. And he alluded that to finance and time. Can somebody tell Mr. Owusu of the finance committee of the Ghana @60 committee that even China phones could record the rehearsals for him to watch before the day for performance? Let’s stop giving excuses and glorifying mediocrity.

There are plenitude of social media orifices that could make him and the committee members watch the rehearsals, if indeed there was any, live on their phones.

Whiles Mr. Owusu says that, Agya Koo is also saying he was the one asked to do the job. He said he scripted, casted and directed the whole act.

So who is telling the truth?

Well Martha Joyce Arthur was part of the act and she was the schooled lady in blue.

The NPP had people like Socrate Safo,Mark Okraku Mantey and the rest. So why weren’t these people involved?

There is the actors guild, directors, scriptwriters, why weren’t anybody contacted to work on a better script and performance?

Who gained from this national humiliation?

I think we deserve to know what really went on.

We refuse be spectators. We will be vigilant citizens.
