H.E President Nana Akufo-Addo with Musa Superior
Reports gathered by DAILY GUIDE indicate that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has nominated Iddrisu Musah Superior for the position of the Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive throwing some youth in the regional capital into uncontrollable joy.
A document sighted by the paper indicated that President Akufo Addo has nominated Superior, subject to approval from assembly members.
Some youth of Tamale in the Northern Region have expressed their excitement about the appointment of the special aide to the president, Musah Superior as the Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive.
Musah Superior has been a committed, trust, loyal member of the New Patriotic party and has campaigned for the party since 1996.
He contested the Tamale Central Parliamentary seat in 2012 but lost to lawyer Inusah Fuseini and before that, he had contested as national youth organizer.
Basiru Bejejugu, a youth who spoke to DAILY GUIDE said Superior in his entire life had never done any other work apart from working for the interest of the NPP.
According to him, he sold all the properties he acquired in London to pursue NPP agenda that is why he lived in an old dilapidated compound house at Nyohini a suburb of Tamale as a parliamentary candidate and yet struggled to provide motor bikes, posters, T-shirts for his campaign during the 2012 elections.
He stated that Musah Superior is from both the Abudu and Andani gates by choice making him the best person to lead Tamale metro.
In a region plagued by chieftaincy, land and tribal strife, many youth believe the outspoken special aide to President Akufo Addo has acquired enormous experience to excel in that position.
