Two more alleged suicides have been recorded Monday in Ashaiman in the Greater Accra region and Affram Plains in the Eastern region.

Bright Wovi was found hanging in a park at Jericho, a community in Ashaiman.

‘There were flies inside his mouth’ a witness told Joy News after he joined onlookers to gaze at the hanging body of the deceased.

Adom FM’s Kwame Yankah reported that the deceased in his mid-thirties is a driver who took to drinking recently.

He was reported to have been behaving abnormal according to people who knew him and was having disagreements with his mother who has been complaining about his drinking.

His mother has been invited by the Ashiaman police to assist with investigations.

Several residents have thronged the deceased’s family home after news of his death went viral Monday morning.

In a related development, the second suicide reported in the Akye Amanfrom in the Affam Plains South district of the Eastern region involved a young woman, Leticia Amaki.

The 26-year-old was found hanging on a water reservoir near the Presbyterian Clinic Monday.

The married woman with two children was on the verge of a divorce after a protracted conflict with her husband, Joy News correspondent Maxwell Kudakor reported.

He explained, Leticia’s mental stability has been ‘on and off’ for some time now.

She was found by a dawn evangelist who was moving to the hospital to visit patients and preach.

The two adds to one incident reported last Saturday at Achimota and brings it to a reported total of six alleged suicides in the last month.
