OmniBank supports Ghana@60 celebrations – MyJoyOnline

In response to government’s call for corporate contributions to fund Ghana’s 60th anniversary, OmniBank has donated GH¢50,000.00 to the planning committee.

The gesture forms part of the company’s contribution towards the year-long celebrations, which starts first week of March.

At a short ceremony at the Flagstaff House, Managing Director of Omnibank, Philip Oti Mensah said they are proud to offer its support to the celebration.

“We embrace the theme for the Ghana at 60 celebration, “Mobilizing for Ghana’s future “, which is in line with the bank’s mission of mobilizing deposits and growing further with our strategy to acquire 1 million customer accounts and reach three billion cedis in deposits by 2020. ”.

He therefore called on government to help improve and stabilize the economy for businesses to thrive.

“As we mobilize for the future, making the microeconomy stable should be another important issue the government must be concerned with,” he added.

Receiving the cheque, a member of the Ghana@60Planning Committee, Duke Ofori Atta expressed profound gratitude to the bank.

He indicated that, the committee has planned that a total of GH¢20million would be needed for the celebrations and hopes that corporate organizations and individuals will support with the fund raising.

Government has said that in an effort to save public funds, it will raise funds through corporate sponsorship.
