A veteran Internet & Digital Marketing Expert, Kwabena Okyire Appianing has called on social media enthusiasts to embrace the vast opportunities of social media platforms to transform their lives, businesses and the nation.

Mr Appianing noted the constant unrefined content posted, read or shared on various social media platforms stems from the fact that many users have not come to appreciate the worth of the platforms and the impact a single social media post has.

The digital expert made this call at the 2017 edition of IGNITE ACCRA, an international platform that brings experts in diverse fields to share and spread forward moving ideas among tertiary students, graduates, and start-up business executives.

Speaking on the need to take each social media post serous, he said “the Yvonne Nelson led Dumsor Vigil, the A Plus led Kalypo challenge are among a few Ghanaian case studies to show us that a single post on any social media platform has the likelihood of sparking a craze, whether positive or negative”.

Emmanuel Bonney, Team Lead for Ignite Accra, expressed the team’s appreciation to the participants and guest for leading the change agenda in Ghana

“We believe that your experience, expertise and passion is a tremendous asset to reaching these goals” he said.

Themed ‘Innovation for tomorrow’, Ignite Accra received expert views professionals in fields such as digital marketing, entertainment, entrepreneurship, arts and culture, business solutions, social media, law, science and infotech.

Ignite events are held in cities around the world to educate, inspire and motivate participants in diverse scopes.
