ABRONYE NPPMr Kwame Baffoe a.k.a Abronye DC

The Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has likened those kicking against free Senior High School policy to ‘witches and wizards’.

Just like those with evil powers scheme and fight against the fortunes of people especially in their family, Kwame Baffoe said the sceptics mostly members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) are even worst.

The only solution to get these sceptics see the feasibility of the free SHS policy is by sending them to the Gambaga witches camp.

President Akufo-Addo has announced his political party’s flagship programme will begin in September and an estimated 1.7million students between the ages of 15-17, who are eligible to have secondary education in the country, are expected to benefit from the successful implementation of the project.

Many including civil society groups and political parties have questioned its viability given the current state of the economy.

But it has emerged that, the free SHS policy, which will also cover agricultural, vocational and technical institutions at the high school level, is estimated to cost GHc3.6 million yearly.

Based on this backdrop, Kwame Baffoe on Accra-based Oman FM said, the debate about the cost of the implementation of the police has been resolved.

Abronye DC as he is popularly called maintained that, the sceptics whose action he described a “witchcraft” have already made up their minds and nothing will change it.

The outspoken NPP man government still stands by its campaign promise of redefining basic education to incorporate kindergarten to SHS and absorbing the cost of same.

“I understand the frustration of the NDC because when the majority of Ghanaians are educated, they will not fall for their vile propaganda” he stated.

Abronye DC urged the NDC to put their frustrations aside and offer reasonable criticisms in the interest of the state.
