Movie producer Socrates Sarfo has expressed his disappointment in the Appointments Committee of Parliament for not asking relevant questions during the vetting of Tourism, Culture and Arts minister designate Catherine Afeku.

The minister took her turn at the committee today to prove why she is best fit for her portfolio.

However, speaking to GhOne news’ Ibrahim Alhassan after the vetting, Socrates who is strongly vying for the deputy minister position for the same portfolio said committee members ignored the arts sector in their questions to the nominee.

The outspoken movie producer wondered why the committee members refused to ask the minister designate questions relating to the arts sector which is bedevilled with pertinent issues.

He remarked that the minister designate discharged herself creditably during the vetting.
