Justice Mustapha Logo, one of the Superior Court justices implicated in the 2015 judicial scandal uncovered by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has filed a suit at the Supreme Court citing the Chief Justice (CJ), Georgina Wood, for contempt.

Justice Logo in an accompanying letter together with his writ to the Chief Justice, states that due to  the pendency of a suit he filed at the Supreme Court challenging the jurisdiction of the Chief Justice to initiate the process for his removal as a judge,  the Chief Justice is estopped from writing to him to respond  for a second time,  to the petition for his removal by Anas Aremeyaw Anas .

The embattled Judge further stated that in spite of the pending suit at the Supreme Court and also the fact that the Chief Justice in a letter dated September 9, 2015,  requesting him to respond to the petition against him, the CJ has gone ahead to write another letter, dated January 30, 2017, requesting a response from him.

Justice logo said the conduct of the Chief Justice amounts to disregard for the High Court and  the Supreme Court.

He is  therefore asking the CJ to halt any attempt to proceed with the  impeachment proceedings against him until the cases in court have been determined.

He concludes his letter by stating that he is unable to respond to Anas’ petition to the President for his removal.
