Abdul Basit joins Portuguese side

The Portuguese Primeira Liga have confirmed the signing of the Ghana international.Former Berekum Chelsea skipper Mohammed Abdul Basit has completed his move to Marítimo da Madeira.

The 26-year-old signed a three-year deal with the Green and Reds lads on Tuesday.

He has joined the Portuguese top-flight side from Lithuanian side FC Stumbras.

Basit was a member of Ghana’s team that won the 2013 WAFU Cup.
