Ghanaian gospel music sensation,Nyame Akoa Malonzy has hinted candidly that he is going to win awards at the upcoming Vodafone Ghana music Awards .VGMA

Nominations for consideration for the awards this year will close on Tuesday, January 31, 2016 and Malonzy has filed in five categories namely ‘Discovery of the Years,Gospel Song of the Year,Popular Song of the Year ,Album of the Year and Best directed Music Video

Speaking in a telephone conversation from his residence in American ,Malozony who was answering a question in regards to whether he believes he can win all the categories he filled, quipped to razzonline.com that considering the assiduous work he did in the year under review,objectively he deserves to win awards:

“Well,my management in Ghana filed my nominations today.As a gospel Musician i filed in five categories_ that is discovery of the year,Gospel song of the Year,Most Popular Song of the Year,Best Directed Music Video and Album of the year and a big yes I’m extremely optimistic of winning awards.”,Malonzy quipped to razzonline.com

Sounding extremely confident in his deliberation,Malonzy then outlined seven major reasons for his assertion: 1.No background in music but worked on a 13track album and 5 music videos 2. Classic Peace song with music video that greatly promoted peace during the elections. Performed at Peace Concerts. 3. Hit song “Yesu Ba” 4. All Contents are very deep and thought provoking. 5. Lives in the US but that didn’t stop me from greatly impacting the youth in the motherland 6. Runs Evangelism crusades at high schools (Mfantsiman and Presec) and youth functions both in Gh and US. 7.Already shared stage with renowned Gospel Artists like KODA, Tagoe Sisters, SP Kofi Sarpong, Nathaniel Bassey, Preye (Nigeria),

Known in real life as Richard Okomaning,Nyame Akoa Malonzy’s “Yesu Ba” hit song which he is hoping to win most of the awards with highlights the second coming of Christ and the need for a renewed mind.

The somewhat humor-filled chorus manages to hit on key socio-religious concerns including sakawa,fake pastors/prophets and infidelity.The the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which is the 18th edition is slated for April 2017.
