Sensational film director, writer and producer Shirley Frimpong-Manso is our celebrity female crush of the week.
Digital media star Shirley Frimpong hails from Kwahu East District and the CEO of Sparrow Productions.
The 39 year old director debut Life and Living it in 2009 at her Sparrow station. In that same year she produced and directed Scorned, The Perfect Picture, A sting in a tale, Check mate, Six hours to Christmas in 2010 and has produced several TV series, one of them being Adams Apple featuring actors and actresses like Joselyn Dumas, John Dumelo, Nana Ama Mc-brown, Yvonne Okoro, Jasmin Baroudi and others.
In 2013, she was ranked the 48th most influential person in Ghana according to E.tv. Ghana. She also won the Best Director at the 6th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
Shirley has been credited with raising the standard of film production in Ghana and Africa by telling African stories as seen through her films. Her films are known for their fierce female leads.
Her recent work is the political drama series “Shampaign” which mien the actress Joselyn Dumas in the movie. Sophisticated Shirley has been an inspirational tool for young film producer ladies in the movie industry.
