MTN-African Movies on the Go partnership
MTN Ghana Limited has partnered content provider, Africa Movies on the GO (AMGO) to unveil the AMGO App.
Africa Movies on the Go App is a Video-On-Demand solution that allows viewers to download and stream the most current high quality full length African movies on their smartphones.
It is to give African movie lovers the opportunity to watch their favorite movies on the go.
The App is available for download on Google play store for android devices.
Senior Manager, Products and Services, MTN Ghana Limited, Bless Sefenu Agordjo, speaking at the launch of the APP on Friday in Accra, said there are plans to get other Operating Systems on board the AMGO APP with the intent of enabling many more people to have access to the platform.
According to him, movies on the App can be paid for using MTN Mobile Money or other electronic payment service of a viewer’s choice.
The AMGO App is expected to encrypt all movies, and thus viewers have the option of downloading any movie from the application for their personal use but cannot share it to other devices once downloaded.
This is to assist African movie producers to earn a decent income from their artistic works through piracy protection.
Movie producers, whose films feature on the App, shall be given a special account where they monitor the performance of their films in terms of viewership and download, as well income generated.
