Striker Jordan Ayew has been rested for Ghana’s final group game against Egypt on Wednesday.

Jordan’s performances have been met with mix reactions from the public with many claiming he’s been wasteful in possession.

However, coach Avram Grant has defended the player stated that the game against Uganda was his best for the Black Stars.

Frank Acheampong who filled in for the injured Baba Rahman on the left in the last game, Mubarak Wakaso and Thomas Partey also make way with the Black Stars already through to the knock-out round.

Samuel Tetteh, Jonathan Mensah, Andy Yiadom and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu come into the side as the Black Stars seek a point that will see them top the group.

However, the Stars’ goalscorers in each of their two one-nil wins so far in the tournament, Andre Ayew and Asamoah Gyan, both start.

The winners of the group will face DR Congo while the runners-up take on Morocco who knocked out defending champions Ivory Coast.
