But if you think about it, I am doing it because I love my family.<\/em>\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Her family lost everything in 2014 after a fire broke out at their home in Seattle. They didn\u2019t have any insurance to cover them.<\/p>\n<p>It was after this that\u00a0Katherine came across an ad on Facebook about the brothel and the money she could make.<\/p>\n<p>She said: \u2018<em>It made me think, \u201cWow, it\u2019s a chance at fixing all that I need to fix.\u201d\u00a0I have the right to choose what I do with my body. And in this troubling economy, do you blame me?<\/em>\u2019<\/p>\n<p>She then contacted the brothel\u2019s owner, <strong>Dennis Hof<\/strong>, who accepted the deal which involves him getting half of the bid.<\/p>\n<p>He also told <em>CNN<\/em>: \u2018<em>It is her choice. I don\u2019t think it is a good idea for a girl to drink six tequilas and lose her virginity on the bathroom floor in a frat house.\u00a0If she wants to [sell] it, I think that\u2019s great<\/em>.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Katherine is yet to take an offer, with the bid for her virginity at more than $400,000.
