We apologise for causing you inconveniences<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0Japanese female passenger, who was present at the time of the announcement, made the case known to public after she\u00a0inquired from a\u00a0Nankai Electric Railway station staff member, shortly after she got off at Kansai Airport station, if\u00a0the announcement was in line with the company\u2019s policy.<\/p>\n<p>The driver however, according to Nankai Electric Railway representatives, claimed\u00a0he did not intend to make discriminatory comments, but made the announcement over concern of potential in-train trouble after he overheard a Japanese passenger saying he was \u201cbothered because there were too many foreigners on board.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company later apologised for the incident, saying that \u201c<em>it is incorrect to distinguish between passengers (based on nationality),<\/em>\u201d adding that they have verbally reprimanded the driver.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Whether Japanese or foreign (nationals), the fact that they all are passengers doesn\u2019t change.\u00a0<\/em>We will strive to prevent any similar occurrences in the future,\u201d the company representatives said.<\/p>\n<p><center\/><\/p>\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0909255462614293\" data-ad-slot=\"3107445395\" data-ad-format=\"autorelaxed\"\/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Japanese train driver has put his company in trouble by making an\u00a0apologetic in-train announcement to Japanese passengers for causing them \u201ddiscomfort\u201d due to \u201dhaving many foreigners\u201d on board.
