In-form Frank Acheampong is set to sit out Anderlecht’s Europa League round of 32 tie against Olympiakos on Thursday because of an aggravated calf injury.
The Ghana midfielder scored the opener on Saturday in the 3-0 league win over Zulte Waragem but had to be replaced on 63 minutes.
“He got kicked on the calf last week. He still felt something but was able to play. However, against Zulte Waregem he got kicked on the same spot,” Besnik Hasi said in a post-match interview.
Acheampong has hit top form in the Belgian Pro League where he has scored three goals in their last two matches.
