Veteran singer and music writer, Sir Elton John has revealed that his two kids, Zachary, 5, and Elijah, 3, don’t really fancy his kind of music.
He said that the boys’ favorite song is ‘Hotline Bling’ by Canadian rapper, Drake.
Speaking about his sons’ musical tastes on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, Sir Elton said: “They love Hotline Bling, that’s their favorite song”.
“They love Uptown Funk, and Zachary likes Kraftwerk – which is a bit worrying,” he added.
He revealed that the boys, who were born to a surrogate for Sir Elton and his husband David Furnish, haven’t snubbed his music completely, adding: “They sing Rocket Man, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart and Bennie And The Jets.”
Sir Elton told Miss DeGeneres that having children had been the greatest experience of his life. “If you’d said to me ten years ago I’d be sitting on your show married to the man I love and have two beautiful children, I would have said you put acid in my drink. But life throws you challenges and curve balls and great curve balls and these two children have come along at a time I never thought I’d have children. They are the greatest thing in our lives.”
