Election 2016: Mahama epitome of “incompetence” – Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

The vice presidential nominee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, continues to jab President John Mahama, describing him as an “incompetent leader.”

Speaking on Sunday at the NPP’s final rally ahead of Wednesday’s presidential and parliamentary elections, he said Ghanaians face a choice between competence and incompetence and corruption and incorruptibility.

According to him, the NDC government under the leadership of Mahama has demonstrated that they are the “most corrupt and incompetent” in the country’s history.

“They are focusing on creating, looting and sharing… and with Woyomenomics, you have it there. You give a payment of GHS52 million without even a contract. Have you ever heard that before? No contract with the government but they have succeeded in paying him GHS52 million and most recently, you have all heard they have given him another contract for GHS35 million,” he stated.

“When you have corruption and you add incompetence you lead to an explosion of Wahala all of the place. Wahala here, wahala there,” he added.

On his part, the NPP’s flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo assured Ghanaians that he would not disappointment them if given the nod on Wednesday.

“I’m not going to disappoint the people of Ghana and turn my back on them. We are coming to work for the progress of our nation so we can lift our people up and build a new Ghanaian civilisation that is going to be the light of Africa and the wonder of the world. That is the task that is set for us to do, to liberate our nation from poverty, backwardness and disease and move it into the realms of progress and prosperity,” he said.

“I’m coming to restore the adult education programme, $1million per constituency, one-district-one factory, I won’t lie to Ghanaians about my ability to fulfill my promises,” he added.
