Election 2016: Enough of “liars” NDC, NPP – Greenstreet

An elated Greenstreet at the manifesto launch

The flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, has appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the CPP because Ghana has failed to progress under the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking at the launch of the party’s 2016 manifesto in Accra, Mr Greenstreet said the CPP will restore the dignity of Ghana if it is voted into power.

“We must bring back our dignity as a nation. A nation without dignity is susceptible to abuse and corruption and that is what we see before us today in all spheres of national life,” Greenstreet said.

He added: “We have had enough. The NPP and NDC are one and the same. As we are here today we are launching a true manifesto of ideas that represents justice, hope, opportunity, progress, and development for all Ghanaians.

“NPP and NDC merely continue to offer us what they have been offering us for 24 years and that is their greatest specialty – lies upon lies and there is a special word to describe continuous lies – because continuous lies are no longer called lies – and that special word is ‘mendacity’, and the NPP and the NDC are mendacious and they continue to break all their promises and torture us with all their lies and enslave us and they have enslaved us because we continue to be subjected to all their lies. It is time to end their slavery; they are nothing short of being pirates.”

CPP back

The national chairman of the CPP Prof. Edmund Delle said his party is back to rescue Ghana from the doldrums.

“CPP is a sleeping giant and has woken up to tell Ghanaians and the world that we are back again,” he said.
