In the bubbling world of cyber crime, a very odd event has happened as a British woman has revealed that her Nigerian scammer fell in love with her while he was still using a false identity.
The woman made the disclosure on Loose Women, a British panel show broadcast on ITV that focuses on a panel of four female presenters, who interview celebrities.
They discuss their lives and discuss topical issues, ranging from daily politics and current affairs, to celebrity gossip.
Maria Grette said she was conned out of £8,000 by the stranger she met on a dating website.
She then got angry and flew to Nigeria to confront her con man and find out why he had scammed her out of £8,000.
A photo of Grette and her lover was displayed on the show, his face was however blurred.
When asked if he was having a ”mass feeling of guilt” as he was falling in love, she replied, ”Errr…not towards me, but towards his colleagues, because that was not the right thing to do.”
