Antis Limited supports Pantang Psychiatric Hospital

Antis Limited, a leader in the distribution of building materials is supporting the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The decision to support Pantang Psychiatric Hospital as part of its CSR is to contribute its quota to tackling the problems that plague the mental health sector.

Mental Health has become an issue of prime concern to Ghanaians. This is because it is estimated that 2.7 million Ghanaians representing 10 percent of the population are suffering from mentally related illnesses. Moreover, the sector has been reeling from the effects of neglect due to inadequate support for mental health facilities in the country, a situation that is disturbing, the company said.

Despite some support for institutions within the mental health sector, it is important for more corporate entities to extend their support to them through various initiatives to ensure that the mental health delivery system within the country runs efficiently.

According to the CEO of Antis Ltd, Patrick Adjepong Anti, corporate social responsibility forms an integral part of their operations.

“We at Antis strongly believe in impacting society through the fruits of our business. Since we also live in the same society, we are always passionate about our corporate social responsibilities because it is a way of supporting good initiatives within our communities,” he added.

He said the act continues the projects undertaken by Antis in bringing smiles to communities through its socially enhancing projects.

Previous projects undertaken by Antis Ltd include the sponsoring of brilliant but needy students within its catchment area particularly Agbogba, Old Ashongman and Kwabenya. It has also been involved in the sponsorship of some Christian-based activities.
