Agya Koo Campaigns NanaAgya Koo, Matilda Asare, others campaigning for NPP

Ghanaian Actor Clement Bonnie aka Mr Beautiful has described his fellow actor Kofi Adu aka Agya Koo, as a liar and an ungrateful being who’s out there struggling to unjustifiably cause disaffection for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and President John Mahama ahead of the December 7 election.

According to Mr Beautiful, Agya Koo has benefited immensely from the generosity of President John Mahama, and it’s unthinkable why he’s showing such ingratitude to someone who has helped him.

Ace actor, Agya Koo who has openly declared his support for the Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December 7 general election and is campaigning for him claims his career has dipped over the past few years due to the increasingly harsh economic condition that Ghanaians have been plunged into by the Mahama-led administration which has had adverse effect on the movie industry.

“For five years now, no producer has featured me in a movie because they claim there is no money, even the band that I have, no one comes to hire us, they prefer the spinners…,” he said adding I have personally sat back and monitored critically how things are going and felt the need to join the crusade for change in the political administration of this country.”

But speaking at the Campaign launch of the Deputy Minister of Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa at Mepe in the North Tongu constituency in the Volta Region on Sunday Mr Beautiful, dismissed Agya Koo’s assertion adding that President Mahama hasn’t denied the latter anything that has leading actors have benefited from.

“There’s has never been any government in this country’s history that has allocated money in its budget for the entertainment industry except that of John Mahama. President Mahama said he’ll make Ghana movie industry like that of South Africa, Nigeria and America.

So he told our Minister (Tourism and Creative Arts) that when ever she’s attending a movie festival she should make sure that she sends some of my colleagues along.

As I’m speaking over 70% of actors have traveled with us. Agya Koo who’s now campaigning for the NPP, has been taken to China, Malasia and other Asian countries. Tell him that he’s an ingrate, he should remember the good things he’s benefited from under President John Mahama.
