Bride 86 Viral86-year-old Millie Taylor-Morrison looked flawless on her wedding day

Every bride is beautiful on her wedding day, but 86-year-old Millie Taylor-Morrison looked especially flawless when she married Harold Morrison on Oct. 16 at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey, in front of 200 friends and family.

And it wasn’t just her groom who was blown away by her wedding day look. This photo went viral after a family friend posted it to her Facebook page — over 4,600 people have shared it so far.

“She is known for her beautiful sense of style,” her granddaughter Khadija Elkharbibi said. “It doesn’t matter where she goes, church, family gathering, store run … She never leaves the house without her hair or makeup being done and she always wears heels!”

It was Harold’s similar sense of style that originally made her notice him. “He dressed impeccably and I admire that in a man,” Millie told People.

Millie first met Harold back in the 1950s while attending the same church — he even attended her wedding in 1952 to her first husband, who died in 1992. Millie and Harold reconnected when he later joined her new church, New Beginning Faith Fellowship Ministries in Orange, New Jersey.

When Harold got sick, Millie took it upon herself to make sure he had a ride to church every Sunday. They continued to see each other for the next eight years, so when he got sick again Millie asked him to live with her so he didn’t have to go to a nursing home.

But when he got better, she decided that they should get married. “I’m a Christian woman and I want to live a Christian life,” she told People. “We decided that even though we were in our twilight years, we wanted to be pleasing in God’s eyes.”

“Our family couldn’t be happier for her,” Khadija wrote on the Facebook page Love What Matters. “This is a true testament that age is just a number and everyone can find love again.”

Now while we’re all busy pretending not to be crying over here, let’s talk about that dress again. It’s not just about that fabulous coat — underneath the shimmering layer of lavender, Millie wore a deep purple off-the-shoulder gown with a dramatic back.

She even designed the dress herself with the help of designer Marco Hall. “I had a vision of what I’d like this dress to be, so I asked a young man in my church who is an artist to sketch it and I took it to the dressmaker,” Millie told People.

“It was a joy and pleasure to create this look for her,” Hall wrote in an Instagram post. “She told me when she first walked in, ‘I’m going all out because this might be my last hurrah.'”

Turns out that Millie is used to slaying in front of the camera since she used to model in the late 1940s and early 1950s when she modeled for Emily Miles’s Belle Mead Modeling Agency, Inc.

Apparently looking this good your entire life is pretty simple, according to Millie. “I’ve always used Pond’s Cold Cream and African shea butter. And I never drank, never smoked. I try to eat right and exercise,” she explained.

And looking at this photo of Millie with her granddaughters on her wedding day (they were her bridesmaids!), it’s clear that good genes run in this family.

Her good looks and flawless sense of style aren’t the only things she has given her granddaughters. “She has taught all of us to be with someone who treats us like queens,” Khadija said. “Her main thing is, to love yourself first and teach people how to treat you.”

So what’s life like for the newlyweds so far? “It’s wonderful,” Millie told People. “Things haven’t changed too much. We always pray over breakfast and he always says, ‘I love my Millie.’ Now he looks at me and says, ‘You’re my wife now,’ and I say, ‘And you’re my boo.'”

Now that’s #RelationshipGoals.
