Massive fear has gripped certain Ghanaian fans after the Black Stars of Ghana were drawn in the same 2017 Africa Cup of Nations group as Egypt, Uganda and Mali last Wednesday in Libreville, but former Ghana international Eric Bekoe who is also popular in Egypt says there should not be any fear feeling among Ghanaians.

Ghana is also in the same 2018 World Cup qualifying group with Uganda and Egypt.

According to Bekoe, who became a cult hero at Egyptian club Petrojet, with the right mentality the Black Stars could even defeat the Pharoahs in Cairo in the November 13th World Cup qualifying all-important game.

“I have to say that Egypt rather fear Ghana because of the pedigree of Ghana recently in Africa. Anytime we take big games serious we always win, and we do not even care the venue of the game, we can still go and beat them in there (in Egypt). They rather think about us (Ghana)” Eric Bekoe told Metro FM in Kumasi.
