Hiplife artiste, Okyeame Kwame has urged political leaders, authorities and the general public to preach a message of peace ahead of the upcoming General Elections.
The “Woara” hit maker made the plea in an interview on Adom FM’s Mid-morning show “Work and Happiness” Tuesday.
“I have really traveled a lot to every country and what they are known for. Throughout my musical career, foreign celebrities I have met positively affirm Ghana is known for peace, so let’s try to maintain its tag upon us” he stated.
According to him, he loves Ghana and does not want to turn into a refugee, thus, Ghanaians must continue to preach peace ahead of the elections.
Speaking on his musical career, Okyeame Kwame known in showbiz as “Rap Doctor” indicated that he is motivated by the love from his fans and therefore will not want to disappoint them.
“My greatest source of motivation originates from the testimonies that I receive from fans my song has inspired one way or the other.
“People will listen to my ‘Made In Ghana’ album and I promise it will revive their hopes because they want to be inspired. They want the economic hardship and international turmoil to be better. People listen to my music to dance, but they also want music that will tell them that, yes! It will be alright, to calm their souls” he stressed.
A number of celebrities have embarked on campaigns on the need for peace before, during and after the elections, considering the tension that is building up towards the December polls.
