Ghanaian Dancehall star Shatta Wale has advised his fans not to fight over him (Shatta Wale) and his colleague dancehall artist Samini.

He has likened himself and Samini to the two biggest political parties with the largest following in the country, the ruling National Democratic Congress, NDC and the opposition New Patriotic party, NPP and added that he does not see the need for their supporters to fight over them.

This follows several years of rivalry between the two dancehall giants in Ghana which led to series of verbal attacks in the media between them and their followers.

But Shatta Wale has finally wiped out the negative impression that has been created in the minds of their supporters about their relationship.

‘NDC and NPP are like Shatta and Samini. Don’t waste your time to fight among yourselves my people’ he advised.

This was contained in a new peace song titled ‘Nana versus Mahama’.

In the song, he warned Ghanaians not to hate each other but rather be tolerant because we are one people with one destiny.

He points out that it will take Ghanaians to make Ghana a better place to be and it is about time that people begin to know that their success does not lie in the hands of politicians but themselves.

By this, Shatta Wale has added his name to the list of musicians who have released peace songs which aims at sensitizing Ghanaians on the need for them to protect the peace the nation is enjoying and also ensure that this year’s election is violence free.

Artistes like, Stonebwoy, Frank Mensah Pozo, Patience Nyarko and Ahuofe Juanita among others have also released similar songs, while the Musicians Union of Ghana is also preparing to hit the music scene with a compilation of peace songs from some selected musicians in Ghana
