Miss Linda Obuo

Linda Obuo, 32-year-old chop bar operator at the Abokobi Lorry Station at Madina, Accra, shed tears of joy last Thursday when she was declared winner of the Tigo ‘Wu Suro aa Wondi’ promotion and took home GH¢100,000.

“I never thought I would see such a huge sum of money in my lifetime. My capital has always been GH¢1,000, but today this is what God has done for me using Tigo to change my status,” she remarked.

According to Tara Squire, Chief Commercial Officer, the ‘Wu Suro a Wondi’ promotion is opened to only Tigo subscribers till the first week of November 2016.

The customers are expected to obtain images of Ghana’s ‘Big Six’- Kwame Nkrumah referred to as the ‘Oga,’ Obetsebi-Lamptey, Ako Adjei, Edward Akufo-Addo, J.B Danquah and Ofori Atta embossed on Tigo cards.

An entrant is declared a winner when he or she obtains all images of the Big Six from separate Tigo cards.

The Commercial Officer added that the promotion is unique because there are other consolation prizes for the customers.

Mr. Squire said his outfit has kept faith with its customers under the Tigo Bingo promotion, which is expected to end in the first week of November 2016.
