Liberty Professionals forward, Latif Blessing, has revealed that Hearts of Oak captain, Robin Gnagne, was the most difficult he faced during the Ghana Premier League.

Blessing topped the scoring charts with 17 goals from the 30 league matches played by Liberty as they finished 12th on 38 points.

Blessing and his team-mates got four points off the Phobians during the season with a 1-0 win in May and a 1-1 draw in June.

The Liberty forward stated in an interview on Adom TV’s “Fire for Fire” sports show on Tuesday that Gnagne’s display against him in those two matches was the most difficult he encountered during the season.

“I faced so many defender during the season but the player who was the most difficult to deal with was Robin Gnagne.

He never gave me space to operate in the matches involving Liberty and Hearts. He knew what I could do so he was always around to deny me space.

However, I felt he was a tad over confident sometimes but that did not take away from his ability. He gave me problems.”

Blessing also gave huge praise to his team-mate, Samuel Sarfo.

He explained that Sarfo was difficult to play against during training sessions and he made him work harder.

It is unclear if Blessing will be with Liberty for next season’s Ghana Premier League as Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are believed to be interested in the player’s services.

According to reports in the Graphic Sports, Liberty Professionals, Hearts of Oak made an enquiry for the player but Liberty is demanding USD 200,000 for initial negotiations can begin.

Sources close to the player and the team say that playing overseas is what will really interest Liberty and Latif Blessing.
