Daddy Lumba
Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West constituency, Ursula Ekuful, has crowned High Life music star Daddy Lumba as her biggest celebrity in Ghana.
The outspoken MP who made an appearance on the most popular satirical talk show in Ghana, Tonight with Nii Kpakpo Thompson on Viasat1, was torn between Kojo Antwi and Daddy Lumba, but eventually settled on Daddy Lumba as her biggest celebrity in Ghana.
Mrs. Ekuful also revealed that her favorite song in Ghana is Mansa by Bisa Kdei, after which she took to the stage to display a bit of her dancing skills which was greeted with a booming cheers by the audience.
Host Nii Kpakpo Thompson also used the occasion to ‘shower’ the MP with a dozen of Kalyppo drinks, as she expressed her surprise and amazement throughout the night.
The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ghana over the past few weeks have mounted a massive Kalyppo campaign which they have described as their ‘symbol of change’ in the upcoming general elections in Ghana.
Ursula Ekuful won the primaries in her constituency some months ago and will face NDC’S Diana Twum and other candidates in the December Parliamentary polls.
Tonight with Nii Kpakpo Thompson airs every Friday at 9pm with a repeat broadcast on Tuesdays at 11 am, only on Viasat1 Ghana.
