NPP targets victory in Tamale central constituency

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s vice Presidential candidate, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia is convinced the party could win the Tamale central constituency Parliamentary seat on December 7.

The huge turnout at the NPP Tamale central Parliamentary candidate, Dr. Ibrahim Barhama Anyass’ campaign launch justified Dr. Bawumia’s stance.

Hundreds of party loyalists, defectors from other political parties, professional health volunteers, nursing and teacher trainees attended the event.

Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia who is on a two week campaign tour of the Northern Region admonished the enthusiastic crowd to massively vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and Dr. Ibrahim Barhama Anyass on December 7.

He said the Mahama-Amissah Arthur led National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration does not deserve another term.

He insisted that the NPP led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo is the best alternative to the NDC government.

Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia impressed upon the Tamale central constituents to substitute the NDC’s incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon. Alhaji Inusah Fuseini with Dr. Ibrahim Barhama Anyass.

He reaffirmed Nana Addo’s commitment to restructure the pro poor government policies initiated by the erstwhile Kufuor led NPP administration.

He discounted political opponents doubt about the NPP’s promise to restore teacher and nursing trainees allowances which has dominated the political space.

The Tamale central NPP Parliamentary candidate, Dr. Ibrahim Barhama Anyass called for an all inclusive campaign in the constituency.

Dr. Barhama advised the electorate to consider their living conditions and accordingly vote in line.  Dr. Ibrahim Barhama Anyass emphasized the need for all party loyalists to eschew complacency and work towards a resounding victory on December 7.

He reassured the youth that the next NPP administration under Nana Akufo Addo’s watch wiill solve the nation’s soaring youth unemployment.

Convener of the Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA), David Asante commended northerners for subscribing to the change bandwagon.

According to him, Ghanaians are yearning for change and that the good people of Tamale central should massively vote Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and Dr. Ibrahim Barhama Anyass.

He said much is desired of the Electoral Commission (EC) to conduct a free, fair and transparent elections. David Asante nonetheless commended the EC for disqualifying some of the 13 Presidential hopefuls.

He described some of them as comedians who did not deserve to be on the Presidential ballot.

David Asante said the electorate will suffer the penalty of votes buying should they sell their votes to the NDC. He tasked Ghanaians to remain resolute on December 7 and protect the ballot to avoid rigging.

The NPP Acting General Secretary, John Boadu, the NPP regional Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu, Nana Addo’s Spokesperson, Mustapha Hamid, Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, Antwi Bosiako alias Wuntumi and Faddi Dabbousi among other speakers addressed the rally.

The NPP national Nasara Coordinator, Kamaldeen Abdullah and Gabby Asare Otchere Darko were also there.
