Multiple award-winning actor, John Dumelo, who is a Tourism ambassador to Ghana Government, recently paid a visit to Navrongo Solar Farm in Kassena-Nankana District of Ghana.
The farm produces about 2.5 megawatts of power. It’s the 2nd largest in West Africa after the Solar plant in Winneba which is 5 times the size.
The actor shared a picture of his visit on Instagram:
#The Navrongo solar farm was built in 2013 and adds 2.5megawatts of power to the national grid. Its has over 8000 solar panels and It’s the 2nd largest in West Africa. The largest, which is also in Ghana, was built in 2015, is 5 times this size and located 45mins away from Accra. #cleanenergy #melomoment
