Ultimatefmonline.com can exclusively report that the 6-month old daughter of Kumawood Star Joseph Nana Osei Kofi popularly known as Wayoosi, Blessing Osei Fremah did not die due to drug overdose as earlier reported.

A source that preferred anonymity from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital disclosed that the infant died as a result of liver failure which is known to Wayoosi and his wife.

Family spokesperson and Assistant Secretary of Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) Eugene Marrott had earlier disclosed she reportedly died of drug overdose.

“He called me on Sunday to tell me that the child is sick telling me she was allergy to a drug. I told them to take her to Kufour Hospital because looking from how he was narrating it, the sickness was serious.

When I went there on Monday, she couldn’t open her eyes but when I went there yesterday (Wednesday, October 12), they had put oxygen on her trying to wash an unwanted medicine they gave her from the body.

So I asked the doctor what happened and he replied that they are investigating into the matter because they were given wrong medicine for the child’s sickness.

The dosage was also too much for the child. The six month old daughter was given 5ml instead of 2.5ml.

Wayoosi called me around 1am today crying”

But health authorities have discounted the overdose claims insisting she died of liver related diseases
