The parliamentary aspirants of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) and the Convention People’s Party (CPP) in the Krowor constituency of the Greater Accra region, Hugo Kofi Huppenbauer and Elizabeth Afoley Quaye have accused the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) of neglecting the residence of the constituency.

According to them, the NDC’s achievements in the constituency are nothing to write home about.

Speaking Friday during Starr Voters’ Voice spearheaded by EIB Election Hub and powered by Penplusbyte and the United States Embassy in Ghana, Mrs. Quaye of the CPP said after “living in the area for 20 years,” the constituency has absolutely nothing to show in terms of development even though it has consistently voted for the NDC.

Following the debate amidst scathing accusation of NDC neglecting the constituency from PPP and CPP aspirants

Mr. Huppenbauer of the PPP said the constituency lacks visible leadership, hence the litany of challenges facing it—urging that the electorate in the constituency need to shun the NDC for a party that can bring in development to the constituency—a position Mrs. Quaye subscribed to.

But the NDC candidate, Agnes Momo Lartey repudiated the claims made by the PPP and the CPP aspirants. According to her, the NDC led by President John Dramani Mahama has brought unprecedented development to the area.

Calling on the constituents to disregard the PPP and CPP, she said she is the right candidate to represent them in parliament as she had considerable exposure in terms of administration, having appreciable understanding of issues.
