Bechem United forward Abednego Tetteh says he must win the best player of the just ended Ghana Premier League season as he performed better than any other player.
According to the powerful striker who is often referred to as Ibrahimovic, he guided his side to win the FA Cup as well as emerging the top scorer of the club and must be giving the gong.
“I think I must win the best player of the season award looking at what I’ve achieved for myself and my club,” he told Silver FM in Kumasi.
“This is my debut season in the top-flight and for me to be able to win the MTN FA Cup and qualify my team to the Caf Confederation Cup, I believe strongly that I have to win the award,” he added.
He argued: “If this is my first time in the Premier League and I have been able to achieve all these feats, not to mention the goals I scored, I think nobody should tell me that I don’t deserve to win the award.”
Tetteh guided his side to be the first side in the Brong Ahafo Region to win the FA Cup and was handed his maiden call up into the Black Stars when Ghana played against Rwanda.
