Ivor responds to Nana’s Kalyppo moment with ‘kube’

The flag bearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet has responded to Nana Akufo-Addo’s kalyppo moment.

The CPP flag bearer posted a picture of himself drinking coconut juice with the hashtag #Coconutisbetter on Facebook on Friday.

In what has become known as the “Kalyppo craze” on social media, it all started when the leading opposition leader Nana Akufo-Addo was pictured drinking the fruit juice with the brand name Kalyppo and the picture posted on social media.

Since then many more people have been sharing pictures of themselves sipping Kalyppo on social media.

Several top politicians, including the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice Presidential nominee, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, his wife Samira and party chairman, Freddy Blay, have now joined the fun and shared their own pictures.

In a veiled response to the craze, Ivor Greenstreet posted the coconut picture on Friday.

The CPP’s James Kwabena Bomfeh responded to the post, “Nature and natural things always offer us the best….. We need to care for our environment and ensure that we get the best from what the good Lord has endowed us……. Get Kube! Get Coconut! Go Ghana, Go Green! Go Greenstreet!!!!
