StarTimes Ghana launches pay TV service

StarTimes Ghana, a wing of the StarTimes Group, has launched a subscription based satellite television service called “StarTimes TV”.

The StarTimes Group, a certified Hi-Tech enterprise and Cultural Exports Key Enterprise, was founded in 1988 with its headquarters in Beijing, China.

StarTimes has since then become a media group specialized in system integration, technology provision as well as network operation, and has registered branches in 23 African countries.

The launch saw host of the Citi Breakfast Show on Citi 97.3 FM, Bernard Koku Avle as the MC; a presentation from the head of Marketing and Sales at StarTimes TV, Akofa Djankui, and one of the Directors at StarTimes TV, Ernest Quaye Arday, on StarTimes TV’s subscription offers and StarTimes TV’s unique propositions respectively.

The launch also saw a presentation from the CEO of Slydepay, DerryDean Dadzie, on what the partnership between his outfit and StarTimes TV on the payment of bills has to offer.

The highlight of the event was a draw for the media men and women in attendance, out of which, two UTV and two TV3 crew members were all gifted with StarTimes TV decoders.

The launch at its head office in the Airport Residential area,was crowned with a Q & A session, a group photo and a cocktail.
