Ghanaian fashion designer of international repute, Kwab Asamoah, has announced a new collection of suits under his Kustom Looks Clothier fashion line.
The new collection, called African Royal Collection, will be showcased on Sunday at the 2016 edition of the Glitz Africa Fashion Week.
The three days fashion event is scheduled to take place from October 6 to 9 at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, and Kwab is among top local and international fashion designers who will be showcasing various designs.
“We are going to release our new collection which is called African Royal Collection and thankfully what we are looking to do is to take traditional European royal designs and integrate them with fabrics that are more of our cultural heritage,” he announced on Wednesday.
The new collection will be Kwab’s first collection to be showcased on Glitz platform after establishing his Kustom Looks Clothier in Ghana some five and half years ago.
Kwab is a recognised international designer who majors in suit designs. He has worked in the United States for over 30, where he runs the fashion line that makes custom clothes for men and ladies as well as children.
In the USA, his celebrity client list includes news anchor Leon Harris, head of Republicans Michael Steele, Brian Mitchell, former NFL football athlete, TOP Black CEO, Russell Wright, among others.
Back home in Ghana, Stonebwoy, Okyeame Kwame, Kwaw Kese, Bismark The Joke, Efya and a host of others are some of his celebrity clients.
His distinctive styles are embraced from corporate executives to star athletes and politicians, bring together the traditional art of custom clothes with a taste of modern tailoring.
He will be showcasing the latest collection on Sunday, October 9, the last day of the Glitz Fashion Week.
This year’s Glitz Fashion Week is under the theme: ‘Fashion For Help’ and will parade other award-winning fashion icons.
