Woman Signs On To Facebook, Finds Story Of Her Being Dead

A British woman got the shock of her life when she discovered a Facebook story claiming she had died.

Candice Haines found last week a photograph of herself attached to a story on Daily Records, a health website.

The 32-year-old had been mistaken by the site for another woman called Michelle Ashby, who died January last year from Crohn’s disease – a chronic inflammatory disease of the intestines, especially the colon and ileum, associated with ulcers.

I woke up last Tuesday to my dad calling me – people were people ringing him thinking I’d died,” said Haines.

I’m more flabbergasted than anything else.”

Haines, from Birmingham, also suffers from Crohn’s and thinks the bizarre mistake is down to the fact that she was in the news in 2015 due to undergoing a bowel resection operation – a surgery which saved her life. She didn’t expect to see any news stories suggesting otherwise.

She, however, shared the post on her Facebook saying, ”This ain’t my story but my picture ? I can assure people i ain’t dead.
