Kevin Hart world’s highest paid comedian

American actor and comedian, Kevin Hart, has been rated the highest-paid comedian in the world, according to Forbes.

Best known for portraying a semi fictional version of himself in the sitcom, Jerry Seinfeld, he topped Forbes’ list of highest-paid comedians, out-earning all of his peers, but Hart has earned $87.5 million between June 2015 and June 2016, over $30 million more than what Seinfeld earned. Hart’s millions also landed him in the sixth spot on Forbes’ annual celebrity 100.

According to Gary Bongiovanni, editor of Pollstar, Hart also supplements his income with blockbusters like Central Intelligence and the upcoming Jumanji reboot along with commercials.

“He tours like no other comedian. In the 12-month period, Hart played over 100 shows with an average gross of over $1 million at each stop. And these shows aren’t at dingy comedy clubs; Hart played stadiums and arenas, including Madison Square Garden and the Staples Center.”

“He is a comedian, of course, but he is drawing crowds that you would typically only see for musician. Only a few comedians [are] capable of playing sports arenas the way that Kevin Hart does.”

With some many projects in the works we have no doubt that we’ll see Hart on the list again next year, maybe even back in the top spot since the man never stops working. Congrats, Kevin!

According to Forbes, “combined, the world’s 10 highest-paid comedians made $233.5 million over our scoring period, prior to taxes and management fees. Their earnings came from touring, endorsements, films, DVD sales, TV specials and paid appearances. FORBES’ earnings estimates are based on data from Pollstar, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, as well as interviews with agents, managers, lawyers and industry insiders”.
