A shootout occurred in the US at a home that serves as a daycare centre in which one person was reported injured.

The shootout happened Tuesday morning in the presence of children. Luckily none of them were hurt.

The Sheriff’s Office of Harnett County said deputies responded to a gunshot victim at 11:55 am.

According to investigations, there was an argument between a man, Paul F. Alday, 53, and his son, Daniel Alday, 21, who both live in the day care home.

Officials said the argument started between family members over an alleged inappropriate picture of a child.

Daniel was shot by Paul, and was later transported to a hospital.

Four weapons were seized from the home, and authorities said at least two shots were fired as the men argued.

Paul was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and indecent liberties with a child. He was jailed under an $80,000 bond.
