Coconut Groove Opens Branch At Sakumono

Management of Coconut Grove Hotels is set to open a branch at Sakumono, a suburb of Accra, come September this year.

Located two minutes’ drive from Nungua Junction Mall and near ‘On the Run,’ its main focus is on outdoor events, as well as indoor residential conferences.

Roberta Torkornoo, Head of Coconut Grove Sakumono, said the new facility would explore business opportunities in and around Tema, Sakumono and Spintex.

“Customer service is very critical to us here at Coconut Grove. Our facilities are highly rated because the services we render are comparable to five-star hotel services,” she disclosed.

Facilities include 31 rooms, a spacious ground for various outdoor events with a sitting capacity of 1,000-1500.

It also has a sitting capacity of 250 for indoor events for conference, seminars and others.

Coconut Grove Sakumono offers entertaining activities such as a sports bar, grill, jazz night, karaoke and salsa.

Since its establishment 24 years ago, Coconut Grove Hotels have offered luxury and comfortable services to Ghanaians and foreigners in their various branches.

These are Regency Hotel in Accra, Miners’ Lodge in Obuasi, Ashanti Region, the Bridge House, Beach Resort and African Village all in Elmina, Central region.

Employment

Recruitment is ongoing according to the Head of the Sakumono branch, who added that people living in the Tema metropolis stand a chance.

“We are starting with 15 rooms out of the 31 rooms plus conference, and so for the start we will employ 20 people but eventually it will increase to 80 staff capacity.

“We offer good quality services at affordable prices, and so we invite all and sundry to come and experience ‘memories worth repeating,” Ms Torkornoo stated.
