President John Dramani Mahama has inaugurated several projects as part of his two days “Accounting to the people tour” of the Northern Region.
These include the ultra modern Aboabo Market and Lorry Park with other ancillary facilities in the Tamale Central Constituency.
He also inaugurated a water expansion project at Kparigu in the East Mamprusi District and a similar project constructed in the Saboba district.
President Mahama as part of his 2012 campaign promises, pledged to transform the Aboabo Market to serve the Sahel which he has fulfilled.
The Kparigu Water Expansion Project formed part of the numerous projects the overlord of the Mamprugu traditional area, the Nayiri, requested during one of the President’s visits.
President Mahama said every part of the region will benefit from his transforming lives agenda. He thanked the chiefs and people of the region for the confidence reposed in him and promised to alleviate their plight.
He pleaded with the electorate to ignore the vile propaganda against him and massively vote for him at the 2012 polls.
He earlier cut sod for the construction of a district assembly complex in the West Mamprusi district.
Scores of people flooded the streets of Walewale and Tamale Township, and demonstrated their happiness about his administration’s performance.
