Phase two of the 2016 election project to train election volunteers has ended in Accra.
Citi FM in collaboration with STAR Ghana, put together the training workshop for volunteers who will be covering the elections in various regions.
Participants were taken through a two day extensive preparation to equip them during election coverage.
The project, sponsored by STAR Ghana, is aimed at helping achieve a peaceful, credible, issues-based and inclusive election.
The workshop saw participants taken through writing skills, using social media as a tool for covering elections as well as a quick history of elections in the country.
They were also taken through a practical session to further equip them ahead of the elections.
The initiative is to give listeners an extensive and in-depth coverage of Ghana’s 2016 general elections.
